Baptisms and Weddings

Weddings and Baptisms are joyful events involving the whole community of faith!  They are moments when we witness the growth of families, as they live out their sacred vocations to marriage and family life.  If you are planning a wedding or expecting the arrival of a new baby, the following information should help you make your preparations.

Sacrament of Baptism

Parents who are parishioners at Resurrection Parish must attend the Baptismal Catechesis class.  Please contact the office at (850) 837-0357 for scheduling and information.  Parents from outside our parish who wish to have their child baptized here must secure the written permission of your home pastor and participate fully in your home parish’s Baptismal preparation program before a baptism can be scheduled.  May God bless you and your family in this time of growth!

Sacrament of Matrimony

Arrangements must be made at least six months in advance of your desired wedding date.  Weddings are not scheduled at Resurrection during the penitential season of Lent, Holy Week or on the Easter weekend.  Couples who are Resurrection parishioners should contact Father Tom to begin the marriage preparation program.  Out of town couples desiring to get married at Resurrection must begin the marriage preparation program at their home parishes.  We require written verification from your home parish that marriage preparation is underway before a firm date and time can be set for your wedding.  May God bless you and you discern this sacred vocation!
