Extraordinary Ministers
Extraordinary Ministers assist the presider in serving the Body and Blood of Christ to those who wish to receive communion at Mass.  Parishioners who are interested attend a training session and are scheduled on a rotating basis.  If you feel called to this ministry, please call Pat Ungarino at 424-6794 or Marge Fregetto at 865-1202.

Lectors
Lectors proclaim the word of God at Mass in a faith filled and prayerful manner.  Those interested in being a Lector should have a strong desire to become familiar with Scriptures and the ability to speak in public, or a willingness to learn.  Lectors are scheduled on a rotating basis.  To learn more about becoming a Lector, contact Mary Jo Napoli at 837-8125.

Ushers/Greeters
We need individuals or whole families who smile and warmly greet arriving parishioners and guests at the doors of the church before weekend liturgies.  This requires extra time twice a month before and after Mass.  Simple training is required and ministers are scheduled in advance.  To become part of the usher/greeter ministry, please call Joe Biscone at 267-3793 or John Twigg at 837-5918.

Other Parish Ministries

Bereavement Ministry
This ministry works with the pastor and the family of the deceased to coordinate and assist in planning the funeral liturgy.  This may include notifying other ministries, attending the service to assist in the needs of the family and possibly coordinating a social after the service if requested by the family.  If you are able to help comfort those who mourn, please call Virginia Dwyre at 267-0756.

Bereavement Support Group
This support group meets on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM in the sacristy.  The program offers a journey from grief to healing that is fresh and filled with hope.  Contact Chris Mongogna at 420-2554 for more information.

Friends of Resurrection Gardens
These ministers work hard to make our gardens and church grounds beautiful.  They usually meet on the second Saturday of each month from 8 AM-12 Noon.  Contact Jean McCarthy at 650-8105 if you would like to be a part of this ministry!

Music Ministry
There are many opportunities to become involved in providing liturgical music for our parish celebrations.  Music should enhance our liturgical celebrations and encourage full participation by the assembly.  We invite all to share their gift of music with us--singers and instrumentalists.  Choir practice is on Tuesdays from 6:15 to 7:30 PM in the music room behind the sanctuary.  If you feel called to be part of the music ministry, please call Steve McCown at 837-0357 extension 208 or 376-7273.

Outreach, Local & International
We assist those in our community and abroad with financial and other immediate needs.  Sam Gibbons (608-6149) coordinates our local St. Vincent de Paul Society, while Mike Dwyre (267-0756) coordinates the international outreach for Catholic Relief Services.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The members of this ministry produce shawls for the residents of local nursing homes and patients at Sacred Heart Hospital.  Father Tom blessed 40 shawls last year.  Anyone who sews, knits or crochets (or would love to learn how!) is welcome to join.  Call Eileen Hughes at 650-6188 if you would like to be a part of this group.

Retirement Home Ministry
Each Tuesday morning the Retirement Home Ministers visit the residents of Crystal Bay Nursing Home and Delta Healthcare Center to conduct a Mass or Communion Service.  Please call Bevan Canale (622-3225) or Kathy Bilello (267-8426) if you would like to join this ministry.

Social Committee
Members of this ministry organize parish activities such as Family Fun Nights, bus trips, parish brunches and dinners, as well as special programs and presentations.  Contact Jean Eisel at 650-9592 if you are interested in meeting new people and having fun!

Social Ministry
The responsibility of this ministry is to set up the coffee and doughnuts for fellowship after the 8:00 and 10:30 AM Masses on Sundays.  Social ministers will arrive a little earlier than usual about once a month and are eager to meet and mingle with our parish family.  Please contact John Czapleski at 830-2702 or 244-6363 if you would like to volunteer for this ministry.
